I want to apply for admission in Harvard business school as well as few others including MIT and Yale, however my undergraduate degree is not from a top ranked school. Does it matter?

While a degree from a top school is always more helpful, it does create a make or break situation. Business schools select candidates from a wide spectrum of academic and work experiences. You should therefore not be concerned about it much and try to highlight your other achievements and successes in application.
