For my college application at Stanford, Caltech and MIT, how much information mentioned in the application can I repeat in my college essay?

Admission committees at Stanford, Caltech and MIT want to know new things about you and don’t want to see repetitions of the ones already mentioned. Ideally, the applicant should write an essay about the topic which is nowhere mentioned on the application and make the most of this chance to tell the committee more about you apart from grades and extra curriculars.
