Many universities like University of Michigan, UNC Chapel Hill and Georgia Tech provide their applicants a chance to apply for the early action pool. To answer the question, this certainly increases that chance of the applicant being offered an admission because not many students apply in this pool as they are busy procrastinating and delaying completing their application
