Ahmed Ali Shah, Housing in a hilly city can be tricky and Ithaca is no different. Ask me about housing in Ithaca, things to do around the city, settling in Cornell and major selection.

You do not necessarily need a car to live in Ithaca. Freshmen at Cornell do not have to pay for riding the bus in Ithaca for the first year but have to start paying from next year onwards. There are weekly, monthly and yearly passes which you can purchase. Owning a car certainly makes it easy to go around Ithaca as well as explore the finger lakes region outside Ithaca. However, one drawback of owning a car is its maintenance during the winter.
