It is certainly a bit challenging to settle in Ithaca because it is a small town. Having said that, there are countless resources including the ISSO (International Students and Scholars Office) who are always ready to help students. Moreover, the international community in Ithaca and Cornell is very diverse and ready to assist incoming students in any way possible. Apart from that, housing can be tricky in Ithaca and you need to familiriaze yourself to the public transport system to easily commute to and from the university whether you're living off-campus or on-campus.
